Bali International Diving Professionals (BIDP) have more then 25 years of diving experience in this region of the Indo-Pacific. BIDP's organisation is owned and operated by a team of Scuba Diving enthousiasts from Asia and Europe.
Owner and Managing Director Avandy Djunaidi is a well known figure in the Balinese diving community and has trained many of Bali's top divers. Avandy started Scuba diving back in the eighties and has a great passion for the sea.

Day Trips, Safari's and Scuba Courses are arranged in small groups with Personalised service.
We have multilingual divemasters / diveguides, Scuba Instructors and crew who speak English, Japanese, Dutch, German, Indonesian and Balinese.
BIDP adheirs stricktly to western and international standards and have thorough knowledge of dive sites and Scuba diving conditions at the locations around Bali and the Nusa islands west of Bali (Nusa Penida, Lembongan and Ceningan).
Safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us and you can feel sure to go diving with a Professional dive company, which is well insured. First aid kits and Emergency oxygen units are carried on all our trips. There are sufficient life-jackets available on our purpose built dive boats.
We handle a maximum ratio of 4 guests per divemaster when the diving skills of joining customers are equal. Scuba divers at beginner levels will not be mixed with experienced divers and will be diving with a personal divemaster or instructor at their own pace and depth preference/allowance.
Prior to every dive, there will be a standardized dive briefing about diving procedures (e.g. signals, water entry/exit). The dive site will be explained (e.g. name, bottom composition, marine life) as well as diving conditions and possible hazards at that particular location (e.g. temperature, currents).
We are a certified PADI Dive Center and SSI (Scuba School International) Instructor Training Center. BIDP provides Scuba courses of the PADI program from Discover Scuba Diving until Divemaster certification levels and until Instructor level of the SSI training program. Beside the regular dive courses, a broad range of specialty diving courses (both PADI and SSI) are available.
We welcome divers from all international Scuba diving organisations to conduct their diving and training with us in Bali. We have regular visitors with a BSAC, CMAS, SSI, TDI, NAUI, NOB certification.
Because BIDP wants to provide Scuba diving for all experience levels and abilities, and beside PADI also conducts courses of the SSI, IAHD and IANTD program, PADI repealed our "5-Star" status and BIDP is since recently no longer a PADI 5 Star Dive Center. (as PADI's rules don't allow a 5 Star dive center to run courses of other Scuba diving organisations).
Day diving trips and fun dives are one day diving trips from our diving center in Sanur or directly from your accommodation to all the known divesites around Bali. (transfers from/to accommodation in the south Bali region are included in our prices during diving days).
A day diving trip will bring you to by you preferred or advised Scuba location where normally 2 dives will be conducted (3 dives or aditional night diving is possible). These dives can take place at different sites or the same place as preferred by you.
Scuba diving trips to locations at Bali's north-coast will be made over land with our airconditioned minibusses. When the site is not excessible from shore, we normally use a local boat (Jukung) to reach the divesites.
Fun diving day trips to theNusa Penida and Nusa Lembonganislands will start from the beach of Sanur with our speedboat. The trip over sea will take you to the divesites around the Nusa islands in around 50 minutes. When you have experienced sea- or motion sickness before, tablets are available for free at our divecenter.
Diving Safari's are multi-day diving tours that will show you the best that Bali has to offer at different locations. To reduce travelling times, and maximize your time in the water, accommodations at different locations during the trip are included. Beside offering some "Pre-made" Diving Safari's, BIDP can arrange custom made Safari's with your perferred diving locations and accommodations.
Whether you are a serious underwater photographer / videographer looking for special marine creatures or a vacationer who want to see all what Bali's underwater world has to offer, our Safari's will meet your needs, requirements and expectations.
BIDP is the only divecompany in Bali that will arrange your wedding underwater. The Underwater Wedding Package can be arranged as an official legal wedding with all papers, or as a symbolical marriage underwater for a diving couple on honeymoon in Bali.
As a snorkeler there are several places around Bali where you can see many amazing marine creatures while staying at the surface. BIDP knows the best places and sites for snorkeling and to experience a wonderful day out. It's even possible to see the Manta Rays at Bali's sister island Nusa Penida during one of our trips!
Beside snorkeling trips, we offer PADI and SSI snorkeling courses and can prepare you a multi day package or safari (with or without accommodation) to go around bali and visit the best places for snorkelers.
Rental of snorkel equipment, protection suit for prevention of sunburn, experienced guide and insurance are included in our prices.
BIDP like to offer the opportunity for everybody to experience Bali's beautiful underwater world and are long time registered with the IAHD (International Association for Handicapped Divers).
People with a physical handicap can enjoy Scuba diving like every "normally abled" person with some minor changes of equipment (and tuning), planning and the right guidance / training.
We offer guided Safari diving tours / trips and Scuba diving courses of the IAHD program. It is also a possibility to conduct your diving from dive boat at the islands of Lembongan and Nusa Penida.
As we have our local contacts and knowledge, we can arrange appropriate accommodation with your preferred facilities around Bali.
BIDP was the first dive center in Bali to provide Technical Diving with Nitrox / Trimix gasmixes and is the only dive company in Bali registered with the IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers).
Technical Diving with double tanks and deco-stages can be arranged as training aswell as for deep decompression diving.
We working in close cooperation with our friends of Sea Safari Cruises Bali to provide the best of Liveaboards that are departing from Bali. Because BIDP's close connection with the Sea Safari organisation, we offer competitive prices and guidance of BIDP's own diveguides and videographers to register your Scuba diving liveaboard on digital video, underwater aswell as above.
On a spacious wooden vessel, having your own comfortable cabin with in-room toilet and shower facility on your exporation trip of the islands that are located east of Bali. Visit Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and it's famous Gili islands, Satonda and Sumbawa. You will go on land to explore these islands between the diving and will meet the Komodo dragons.. Standard cruises vary from 1 untill 10 days.
There are three "tastes" of Liveaboards available with departure and arrival in Bali:
Bali • Komodo • Bali Diving Liveaboard - This Liveaboard cruise will take you on a 7 Days / 6 Nights Liveaboard to Komodo and the islands on the way. Landtrips and lots of Scuba diving are included in this cruise aswell as a meeting with the giant lizards and night dives.
Bali • Lombok • Bali Cruise - During this 3 Days Scuba diving cruise, you will experience the world famous Gili islands which can be found west of Lombok. On the way to Lombok during the first day of the trip, you will be at Bali's sister island Nusa Penida, where you can join in many water activities aswell as a land excursion to the sea weed farming and an underground historical house..
Bali • Penida Lembongan • Bali Cruise - A one day cruise departing from Bali, and same as the first day of the Bali - Lombok cruise.
Special Equipment and Scuba Gear
BIDP has their own filling station with Bauer "Mariner" compressor to provide clean compressed air. Beside compressed air, we provide enriched air (Nitrox) and Trimix gasses for advanced Scuba divers and Technical diving.
BIDP is operating owned purpose built speedboat with onboard toilet, sun deck and space for 10 divers with full scuba equipment and 60 dive tanks. The boat is powered by two 200hp Yamaha outboard engines. The boat is used on dive trips to the Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan islands aswell as on occasional trips to the Gili islands around Padangbai and Candidasa. For dive trips in the Sanur area, we normally use local traditional boats (Jukung).
BIDP owns two airconditioned minibusses for transport and dive trips over land to all dive locations around Bali. Pickup and return transfers from/to accommodation on diving days are included in our prices (south-Bali area only). Airport pickup and transfers all around Bali can be arranged with prior notification.
BIDP mainly uses Tugillio buoyancy control devices (BCD) and Mares regulators for recreational diving. We can service your regulator as we are a certified Mares service center. For Technical diving, we use Scuba equipment from Halcyon, Diverite, ScubaPro and OMS.
